Registered Veterinary Technician

Full Job Description

Here we grow again! Join us in welcoming Dr. Caitlin to a full time position and Dr. Katie part time. As we grow our staff from techs to practicing veterinarians, so too must we add qualified staff to match their needs. We are looking to hire 3 Vet Techs to meet the increasing support needs that allows us to provide great medicine to the wonderful families in our practice.

We are a fast paced practice with a commitment to yearly excellent pet care for the life of the pet. We operate in a fun & friendly work environment that is focused on teamwork since 1969. It is true, our building opened in the 60’s and many of our vintage touches are still able to be enjoyed in a few exam rooms. Our focus however is on good medicine and that led to the expansion in 2016. This allowed us to increase our ability to constantly bring our fur families quality cutting edge technology, the space needed to practice it, and more staff to meet their needs.

At this time we are searching for experienced and fully committed Veterinary Technicians who are friendly, compassionate, and motivated to care for pets and their families. Our mission is to provide our special family pets with quality medicine at reasonable prices. We are friendly and teamwork focused vet family with generational doctors who grew up in the veterinary world/practices. Some of our clients are 4th generation families and we appreciate their commitment to us.

Our ideal candidate has an energetic approach to growing professionally, is focused on teamwork, and works well with others. While we are open six days a week, each staff member gets 1.5 days off a week and will be off every other Saturday. First merit based raise is possible at 90 day review. We have a fully equipped and integrated in house idexx lab which provides quality idexx perks for our staff. Your personal fur family is provided with significant professional discounts. Our breakroom is a fully stocked snack room for quick pick me ups throughout the day along with an outdoor lunch space. We regularly enjoy outings as a staff to promote teambuilding and friendships. If you are a Veterinary Technician with a strong interest in wellness, medicine, general surgery, and the desire to educate and build a strong relationship with our team and clients, please apply today!

Fort Wayne is famous for our three rivers, and we have a state of the art, beautiful, and wonderfully relaxing promenade park that really shows off the river downtown and connects to many walking and biking paths that intertwine throughout the city. If you love sports, we have a single A baseball team (Tincaps), an NBA G-league team (Mad Ants), and an ECHL Hockey team (Komets, who recently won the Kelly Cup!). The Tincaps play in an absolute gem of a stadium that really needs seen to believe! In addition to all of this, we are a three-time All-America City Award winner and are consistently sited for our high quality of life, low cost of living, and warm Hoosier Hospitality! Fort Wayne also is known for its world-renowned Children’s Zoo. It’s a perfect place to have a fun night out on the town, meet friendly people, enjoy the great outdoors, start/raise a family, and build a career in veterinary medicine with fabulous multi-generational families.
